In updating an older site using Responsive, I am having great difficulty understanding how to control the Home Page.
—In Customizing Home Page, I have “Enable Custom Front Page” selected.
—I removed all default content area, Featured Content.
—Other options are turned off (CTA, Testimonial, posts
Nevertheless, a huge block of white space displays between the header and slider and the row of Homepage widgets. It is white except for a huge image of a chip of coffee.
I don’t want anything to display there. How do I make it go away?
Under Customizing Homepage Settings, I have “Your latest posts” selected instead of “A static page.”
—If I change this setting to “A static page,” the page fills with the latest post—exactly the opposite of what I would expect! The coffee cup goes away, but so does my slider and the Home Page widgets.
Can anyone explain why this happens?
