Header Options

Header Options allow you to control certain feature of the header layout and output. Including Custom Logo URL, Custom Logo, Custom Favicon, Custom Apple Touch Icon.

To access the Header Options, in your WordPress Administration Panels go to Appearance > Theme Options > Header > Header Options.

Header Options:

  1. Custom Logo URL – On/Off default is Off. Allows changing the link for your logo, where the user will go when clicking on your logo. Default is your home page.
  2. Custom Logo – On/Off default is Off. Here you can add an image with the built in media uploader. Select “Upload” than upload the file or you can manually enter the URL of the image location (if you have an image in your “uploads” directory you can insert the URL there). Once uploaded you will have a preview of it with an option to “Remove” it. If you would just like to use the site name text, turn this option off and the name of your site set in the WordPress General Settings will be used (WordPress Administration Panels > Settings > General > General Settings > Site Title).
  3. Custom Favicon – On/Off default is Off. Use the image uploader to upload a custom favicon for the header. Select “Upload” than upload the file or you can manually enter the URL of the image location (if you have an image in your “uploads” directory you can insert the URL there). A favicon is a 16 pixel by 16 pixel image which appears next the URL in most web browsers. If you need help generating a favicon, we recommend a website like http://favicon-generator.org/.
