Blog Theme Options – Google Maps (Drag & Drop Element)

  • Google Maps is a Drag & Drop Element that lets you display a location on ‘Google Maps’ on your Blog page, by embedding iframe code

  • Google Maps element is best utilized when your Blog is your home page. If you have a static home page, then it would be better to utilize the available elements for a Page. Which are accessible when editing the page. To make your Blog (Your latest posts) your home page go to Settings > Reading > Front page displays and select “Your latest posts”

Here’s how you can display a Google Maps location on your Blog Page –

1. Under ‘Appearance’ -> Select ‘Theme Options’ -> In ‘Blog’ , Drag & Drop the ‘Google Maps’ element in ‘Active Elements’

2. In ‘Google Maps’ drop-down –

  • Fill in the Map’s title

  • Go to Google maps. Steps to add: 1) Choose the location 2) Click on menu on top left corner and select “Share or embed map” 3) Select “Embed map” 4) Copy iframe code and paste in the back-end

This will display a location on Google Maps on your Blog Page
