Adding CSS to the child theme

Just add the CSS that you want under “Start Here”.

Don’t copy all of the css from the parent theme! It is already being loaded by the theme.
The CSS you are going to add here will overwrite the CSS of the parent theme.

So for example if you are going change the colour of the menu text.

This would be the
Original CSS:

.menu a {
    border-left:1px solid #585858;
    color:#fff;
    display:block;
    font-size:13px;
    font-weight:700;
    height:45px;
    line-height:45px;
    margin:0;
    padding:0 0.9em;
    position:relative;
    text-decoration:none;
    text-shadow:0 1px 1px #242424;
}

but then for your CSS you only need.
Child Theme CSS

.menu a {
    color:#00FFFF;
}
