Step 1: Installing the Appropriate Social Plugin

The plugin automatically adds login buttons to the login page, and buttons to link your account to the profile page in WordPress. Next, activate and configure the plugin to be able to connect to your Facebook app. To do so, click the “Settings” link, and then click the “Nextend FB Connect” link.

Step 2: Creating the Facebook App

To create a Facebook app, visit Facebook developer website using this link https://developers.facebook.com/. Under My Apps menu, click on the create new app link, and select Website from the list of given apps platform. To start creating your Website App, Click the “Create a New App” button. On the next screen, fill in your app display name, and the app namespace which is optional. Next, select your application category, and click on the “Create App ID” button. Proceed by answering the security questions asked by Facebook to remove the security check, and click the submit button to complete the process.

Next, enter your website information, that is, the site name, web site URL, and the mobile site URL.
Voila, your Facebook app is now successfully created on Facebook Developer.
Select the app under My Apps menu, and copy your App ID and Secret code from your app dashboard.

Step 3: Setup the Nextend FB Connect plugin

Go back to your WordPress dashboard and head to the settings page, and click Nextend Facebook Connect plugin to set it up. Continue by pasting the copied Facebook App Secret keys and the Facebook app ID. Fill in the other additional options, for instance, you can write Facebook on the Net user prefix field, ensure that both the Fixed redirect URL for login and Fixed redirect URL for register are set up to auto, and click the Yes radio button on the Load button stylesheet option. Finally, paste the code used to create the login button, and link account button.
Now click on the “Save changes” button to save the app settings. To complete the Add login with Facebook in WordPress process, head back to general settings and enable the user registration on your WordPress Dashboard
