Hello. I am having a problem recently when I edit pages. The visual editor shows the html code along with the content, and comment code has been added. For example –

<h1>United Credit Service Inc. is a licensed debt collection agency located in Elkhorn, Wisconsin</h1><!--mep-nl-->[wptouch target="non-mobile"][slideshow_deploy id='1236'][/wptouch]<!--mep-nl--><!--mep-nl--><div id="homewidgets">[wptouch target="non-mobile"][ezcol_1quarter]Collections <!--mep-nl--> - This is what I see in the visual mode for the top of the page. This is what it looks like in text mode - <h1>United Credit Service Inc. is a licensed debt collection agency located in Elkhorn, Wisconsin</h1><!--mep-nl-->[wptouch target="non-mobile"][slideshow_deploy id='1236'][/wptouch]<!--mep-nl--><!--mep-nl--><div id="homewidgets">[wptouch target="non-mobile"][ezcol_1quarter]Collections <!--mep-nl-->box-widget-image-1&lt

My version of wordpress is updated, as well as most plugins. The have not updated all of them, because they have not been tested with 4.8.

I am guessing I have a plugin conflict and am trying to figure it out, but was wondering if you have come across this in the past? I know your themes are responsive, but I have a plugin that I use with your theme that has mobile themes that I use with business pro. This plugin needs to be updated, but it is pretty expensive. I am checking with you first to see if you have any ideas.

URL as you can see is http://www.unitedcreditservice.com. Thank you.

    Hi,

I am little bit confused about your query. The content you have added displays as a link. Can you please elaborate your issue more may be with the screen shot please – screen shot of text and editor mode?

Moreover the URL http://www.unitedcreditservice.com/ you have provided displays a blank page. Can you please check and send the correct URL?
Also, please let me know the version of the theme you are using?

Also, it’s better to check for the plugin conflict. Can you please try deactivating all the plugin? Check if it resolves the problem.

    Thank you.

Let me try to explain it better. When I am in the visual editor, the editor doesn’t just show my content. It shows my content with the html. So in the visual editor, it looks like I am in the text editor. Then when I go to the text editor, all of the little brackets from the html elements are shown as special characters, so it is really messed up.

When I click on the link I provided to you, it goes right to the website, so I am not sure why you are having a problem.

I am using the current version of business pro 4. My WordPress is up to date and most of the active plugins. I have not updated a few of the plugins because they haven’t been tested with wp 4.8. But, after working through this a little today, I came to the conclusion that the culprit may be a plugin that was designed for me by a developer. It is a plugin that adds functionality to the gravity forms plugin, and is specific to my site. I have asked him to look into it to see if there is a conflict that he knows of.

In any case, I have added a screen shot of the two editor views. Hope this helps. I just wanted to know if you have ever come across this issue while working in WordPress.

    Hi,

    Thanks for explaining in detail.
    I understood your query.
If you have doubt whether there is a plugin conflict, you can confirm it by deactivating it.

Have you tried zeroing on which plugin conflicts with the theme?
First, we need to confirm it is a plugin conflict –
The best way to do that is to disable all plugins and try to load the page – does it work?
Yes – means it is a plugin conflict.

So the next step is to zero in on which plugin is impacting the theme –
Please enable each plugin one by one and check for the issue – so you can find out which plugin causes it to break.

Moreover, I found out that you are using a child theme. Can you please try switching to the parent theme once? Check if it resolves the issue.

Try it to confirm whether the issue is due to the plugin or the parent theme or with the child theme.
    Thank you.
