    How do I remove responsive theme powered by wordpress?

    Do I put something in the custom css?

    I want to remove it completely!

    Thank you!

    Hi Ulrich,

    Unfortunately, the How Do I Remove Credits at the Bottom of the Site page comes up with a 404 error message. Has the page been moved?

    I searched for “remove the credits” in the search box in the upper right of the page, but can’t find any other pages with this information.

    Hi redcrew,

    Try:

    .powered {
    display: none;
    }

    Appearance > Theme Options > Responsive Theme Options > Custom CSS Styles > Save Options

    Thanks, that’s not a solution I want to use. I want to be able to actually edit the content.

    Sorry, I was assuming that you wanted to remove the credits as that is what’s mentioned in the thread. Unfortunately, the only way to edit this is by editing core files and/or using a child theme. Both of which are beyond the scope and resources of these support forums.

    Thanks for the quick reply, Thomas.

    I’ve created a child theme, so it’s not an issue for me to edit the footer.php file. Just thought there might be some option in the theme I wasn’t aware of. I started using the theme this week, still learning the various options.

    Currently there is no built in option. There may be in the future, but I’m not directly involved with that with this theme, so all I can say is keep up on the changelogs with each update as it will say if it’s been included with a new version.

    go to Footer “footer.php” n see :

    <div class=”grid col-300 fit powered”>
    <a href=”<?php echo esc_url(__(‘http://themeid.com/responsive-theme/’,’responsive’)); ?>” title=”<?php esc_attr_e(‘Responsive Theme’, ‘responsive’); ?>”>
    <?php printf(‘Responsive Theme’); ?></a>
    <?php esc_attr_e(‘powered by’, ‘responsive’); ?> <a href=”<?php echo esc_url(__(‘http://wordpress.org/’,’responsive’)); ?>” title=”<?php esc_attr_e(‘WordPress’, ‘responsive’); ?>”>
    <?php printf(‘WordPress’); ?></a>
    </div><!– end .powered –>

    try change it to :

    <div class=”grid col-300 fit powered”>Designed by <a title=”text when mouseover” href=”www.yourlink.com” target=”_blank”>your link </a></div>

    it’s work for me
