I am trying to change the favicon and copyright text. When I click the favicon Upload button, nothing happens. When I change the copyright text and click Save Options, it goes back to “Default copyright text”. http://www.websterdigitalmarketing.com/

I’m also trying to turn off the featured image on the single blog post page. When I uncheck that checkbox and click save, then go back to the Templates page, it has “Post Byline Author Bio” unchecked instead! This is really frustrating!

I disabled all the plugins and tested it with the copyright text. It still wouldn’t save my changes.
Theme: Responsive Pro version 1.2 (I also have the “Responsive Add Ons” plugin installed and enabled)
WP version: 4.7.2I don’t know the PHP version. I’m on GoDaddy in a managed WordPress hosting package.

Hello there. I dont know English. For that reason the translation may also be a bit ridiculous.
The problem also continues in Responsive Pro. Theme settings can not be changed. But there is a situation like this. The settings made from the customization option can be changed.

Hi,
Thanks for sharing those details.
Please bare with us, we will be fixing the issue soon. Till then you can use “Customize option” to change the copy right text.
Please go to Appearance–>Customize–>Footer Setting and add copyright text. Save the changes and check the result.Let me know if the Customizer option also doesn’t work.
Thank you -
March 3, 2017 at 11:53 am #261807
Changing the copyright text through the customize menu does work. However, that still doesn’t allow me to change the other settings I want to change:
1. Remove the featured image from the blog page.
2. Add a faviconThanks,

Hi,
Can you please confirm once that you are using version no 1.3 of the Responsive Pro theme ?
If yes, can you please clear your browser cache once and test again ?Thanks.
-
March 10, 2017 at 8:03 am #262103
I’m actually on version 1.2. It doesn’t have an option in my Updates menu to update to another version. Should I download the theme from your website and add it as a new theme?
-
March 10, 2017 at 3:04 pm #262106
Also I just tried saving some new home page options using MS Edge and it didn’t save them there, either.

-
March 14, 2017 at 9:10 am #262212
I downloaded the theme as you specified. Then I went to Themes -> Add New and uploaded the zip file like it was a whole new theme. It installed, but it doesn’t seem to have updated the theme. When I go to the themes page and look at it, it’s still version 1.2.

Installing the theme…
Destination folder already exists. /home/content/p3pnexwpnas16_data03/76/3810876/html/wp-content/themes/responsivepro/

I’ve just purchased Responsive Pro 1.4 and have the same issue.
The theme options do not save!
This theme has been brilliant until now – I’ve been using it for years as it is so flexible, however, I’m running into a problems with Child theme not overriding the parent theme and now this.
Please can you help asap as I have a deadline. -
March 23, 2017 at 7:46 am #262581
Minor Theme options will save in the Customiser area.
-
March 24, 2017 at 5:21 am #262606
Hi,
You said you are using a child theme. Can you please activate your parent theme and check if the settings are working?
Moreover can you please let me know which specific options you are facing issue with, so that I can check those settings on our test server? -
March 24, 2017 at 7:39 am #262617
Hi, thanks.
I have just switched to the parent theme and input the Headline and Subheading, plus changed the layout to use Full Width Reverse. Saved and it returns to default.
If I add those into the Customiser area, then is saves fine. But I cannot disable the call to action button here, and anything else I do in the Theme Options just reverts to default. After successfully saving in the Customiser area, I added a Social Media link in the Theme options and everything went back to default – all content lost.If you want to log in, please send me an email and have a look yourself.
This is happening on my local host as well as on the hosting (SiteGround) – so is not specific to the hosting I would guess.
Please take a look at http://77.104.132.42/~explori9/alphaexecutive.co.uk/

Hello,
I have the same problem. I deleted the theme and uploaded the 1.4 version, and still have to work through the “Customize”.
This theme worked for me fine as free version. So i decided to upgrade to pro, especially for this theme.
Very disappointing. -
March 24, 2017 at 11:10 am #262621
Yes, Ronen.
The Theme Options thing needs sorting out.
There’s also an issue with Child theme not overriding Parent theme – I think it’s a WordPress 4.7 thing as everything was fine until then.Waiting for them to sort this out. I’m not upgrading any sites to the new theme until it’s sorted.

If you don’t see your css changes try to view in another browser.
Sometimes it is just that.

All the same:(

I switched to Chrome as opposed to Safari, and now the Theme Options do save.
Looks like Safari on Mac is not playing ball.

So far the latest version of theme seems to have resolved the Theme Options in Safari.
At least on the Local Host environment – can’t risk testing the live site at this point, but we will assume all is OK now. -
April 21, 2017 at 3:27 am #264123
Hi,
Ok. You can keep the backup of the theme and try it on live. There shouldn’t be any issue.
Thank you -

All I can do go to the “upgrade” button, wich tells me to buy what i already own.

Hi,
I think before using the responsive pro theme you were using Responsive free theme with Responsive pro plugin. The Responsive pro plugin might be active when you installed Responsive pro theme.
The Responsive pro plugin is not compatible with Responsive pro theme.Regarding the theme options not getting saved, we have fixed this issue in the version 1.3.
There might be a plugin conflict due to which the options are not getting saved. Can you please try deactivating the plugins and check if you are able to save the changes.
If you are not able to use your site due to Responsive pro theme, you can delete or rename the theme from your CPanel account to recover your site. Please log in into your CPanel account and go to
/wp-content/themes/. Here you will find the Responsive pro theme. Please rename it and reload your site. The site should be moved to the default 2017 theme.
You can now rename the theme to its original name.If you are still unable to recover the theme I can help you.
Can you please raise an email ticket here https://cyberchimps.com/contact/ and share your Site URL, WordPress admin access and the Cpanel access. Also, please share the reference to this forum link.We do not want our customers to face such kind of experience. Please raise an email ticket and share the details, so that we can quickly sort out the issue.
Thank you.
