    Hi,
    Just a little problem which I’m having difficulty resolving.
    I’m using a child Theme.
    I need to be able to see the Hamburger icon on mobile nav, I’ve changed the main nave background colour to white, but on mobile it wants to use a white toggle button, so white on white cannot be seen. I changed the main nav background colour, but I still can’t see it, although it is there.
    What am I doing wrong?
    I tried this code from another thread:
    a.btn.btn-navbar {
    background-image: none;
    background-color: #000000;
    }
    But there’s no change.

    Hi

    The menu toggle icon is an image due to which the color from the CSS is not getting applied.
    You cna try creating a child theme and override this images. You will find the image in /wp-content/themes/responsivepro/core/images/select-icons.png

    Please visit below link which will help you to create a child theme.

    Thank you.

    Hi Milind,
    Yes, I am already using a Child theme and have attempted to change the background colour there, I’ve also explored putting the CSS into the Custom CSS area, but it’s not happening. The parent theme seems to be overriding it, or I’ve put it in the wrong place.

    I will try again.

    Hi,

    Apologies for the delay.
    The image is added using a CSS.

    You can add a new image in the child the and override the CSS from the parent theme.
    You will find the CSS to add the menu toggle image in Responsive.css file (responsivepro/core/css/responsive.css) at line number 241.

    Add the same CSS in the child theme and provide the image location from the child theme.

    Hope this helps.
    Thank you.

    Hi Milind,
    I have tried all sorts of things, including what you say above – the Child Theme is NOT overriding the parent theme. I have put a different mobile button icon in and linked it accordingly. I still get a white mobile button or invisible mobile button.

    Please visit these sites and test them for yourself – you will see with this site, the mobile button is not showing at all: https://geocake.com However if you highlight the menu in mobile width on desktop, you see that there is something there, but not visible.
    Then visit this site: https://77.104.132.42/~explori9/simplycphotography2.co.uk/ The background to the menu has been made white and the text is showing as grey – in customiser. So the text should be grey in mobile view but it is white. I have changed the text to be grey in the Child Theme, but it looks as if the Parent theme is overriding it. Please can you help?

      Hi,

      Apologies for the delay.
      I checked your site https://geocake.com and found that the menu icon is not getting loaded on your site. I found the error in the browser console. I think you have uploaded the icon image at the wrong place.

      You can try adding custom CSS to fix this issue. If you are looking for the CSS changes it comes under the Plus support which help you with the CSS customization to tweak your site based on your requirements. Moreover, I checked your link https://77.104.132.42/~explori9/simplycphotography2.co.uk/ on the mobile device and the menu color isn’t white. Is your issue resolved?

      Thank you.

    For Geocake the menu icon is here: ‘/core/images/select-icons.png’ within the child theme. The Style sheet is above the Core folder in the hirarchy, I tried without the first ‘/’ but no difference.

    The Parent theme path is: ‘../images/select-icons.png’ as there needs to be a step backward out of the Core folder.

    For Simply C the menu background on mobile is white, the Home word on it is white and the mobile icon is white.

    I will go to your Plus Support as this is now dragging on and clients are getting tetchy.

    Hi Milind,
    Thanks for your help. The Geocake menu icon is here: ‘/core/images/select-icons.png’ as the Stylesheet is above the Core folder in the hierarchy. I’ve tried it without the ‘/’ but there’s no difference.

    The Simply C mobile menu shows as white background, white Home word and white mobile icon on my iPhone, so maybe it’s not doing the right thing everywhere.

    I will sign up to your Plus Support as I need to resolve these quickly.
