    When I view my site on an ipad in portrait mode, everything’s fine: it displays as mobile, with the menu hamburger dropdown appearing in place of the regular, full-screen website navigation.

    However, when I view my site on an ipad in landscape mode, the regular full-screen website navigation appears. This leads to a couple of challenges. 1) the contents of the navbar don’t fit, bumping the searchbox down and doubling the width of the navbar, and 2) tapping a menu item that has submenu items (normally a mouse hover would reveal them on a full screen) navigates to the first tap before you can choose a submenu item.

    I feel like a fix would be to change the parameters of what constitutes a mobile screen size for landscape view, though I’m not sure how to do it.

    Thoughts?

    Hi,

    Thanks for explaining the point.
    Regarding the search moves downword: Since there are too many menu options the search text box will move below the menu. This will increase the navbar height.

    Regarding Submenu issue: I checked your site but did not find the problem. When I clicked the menu option with the sub menu, it displays the sub-menu option. the page is not redirecting.
    The problem exists only for the “Home” menu. when I clicked the “Home” menu option, the sub menu opens but the site is also redirected to home page.
    I think you have added the link of your site to the “Home” menu option only. You can try removing this link and check the issue.

    Hope this helps.
    Thank you.

    Thanks for the response, Milind.

    Yes, I removed the links in the other dropdowns in order to work around the problem. I need the home link to work with its submenu, though, and tapping it to reveal the submenu leads home before you can choose a submenu item.

    Since landscape on an ipad is still a mobile display, I’d like the mobile menu to show. Is there something we can adjust with the breakout that will make that happen? Maybe changing the min/max numbers on something like this?

    @media only screen
    and (min-device-width : 768px)
    and (max-device-width : 1024px)
    and (orientation : portrait){
    #register {
    padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
    }
    }

    Hi,

    To change the normal menu into the toggle menu is difficult. There may be number CSS added in the theme. Just changing the media queries won’t work. It may affect the theme functionality also the look and feel.
    The resolution varies for iPad to iPad. The menu may be visible properly on other devices. It’s a theme design and the menu will change from toggle to normal for the specific resolution.
    You will have to check thoroughly the CSS and add or remove some, to have the change.

    Thank you.
