Problem: I have a child theme with custom page templates. Everythings sweet, but the current page -item within mobile menu is not showing. Which hook or bit of code has to be added to custom page template to display mobile menu?

Thank you for contacting us.
Sorry to say but I ‘m not clear with – ‘the current page -item within the mobile menu is not showing’. Are you trying to say ‘how to add the navigation menu to custom pages’ then you can refer to this link: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how-to-add-custom-navigation-menus-in-wordpress-3-0-themes/.
It will also your problem to display the menu in mobile view also.

Sorry if I was being unclear, please let me try to rephrase myself :)
– I have a site using Cyberchimps Responsive Theme + custom child theme.
– I have created a custom page template (to show posts of specific categories)
– Page using this custom page template works in everyway nicely, except the mobile menu (<650px width), it doesn’t trigger/show.
So my guess is that there’s a line of code (or a few) missing from my page template file OR functions.php.
