Do you live and breathe WordPress Themes?

CyberChimps WordPress Themes is looking for a WordPress Theme designer, illustrator, and web designer all wrapped in one.

We are looking for someone who understands modern graphic and web design trends, and who loves designing for WordPress as much as we do.

What we are looking for:

Someone who can fill an empty canvas. We are looking for someone who dreams in Photoshop, Illustrator, CSS3, and HTML5. We already have a reliable business model and solid development framework that provides our themes functionality, we are simply looking for that extra layer of polish and perfectionism an amazing designer can bring to the table.

We are looking for someone to develop new WordPress Themes, improve our existing WordPress Themes designs, create icons, improve our user-interfaces, create background images, marketing materials, and simply make everything we do look better.

Someone with an eye for typography, and how to implement it effectively.

Someone who loves WordPress. We would prefer someone with experience developing themes for WordPress (personal sites are fine, please be able to provide live samples).

We would love to find someone who can design as well as code basic HTML, CSS3. If you know PHP and Javascript then even better (please let us know what languages you are comfortable with). We will handle most of the functionality of the themes, but we want someone who is capable of editing templates, and CSS. Responsive design experience is a plus. If you do not code you must be willing to learn the basics.

Someone who can work on their own, as well as work with us as a team. While we would love to find someone local (Long Beach, California), we are more interested in finding the right person. Excellent communication skills are a must especially if we will be working with you online!

Must being willing to learn. No cowboy coding permitted. If you don’t know GitHub we’ll teach you. You will also need to learn our code base, and framework.

Someone who is interested in joining our team and making our products and company better.

We are growing quickly, and there is plenty of work to be done outside the scope of theme design, so the more well rounded, willing, and hungrier you are the better. We also need help with marketing materials, social media marketing, creatives for advertising, and help with support on the weekends. The more value you bring with you to CyberChimps the more likely we can create a full-time position for you in the future.

Pay

Freelance, per-project, or hourly. We’re also open to profit sharing.

If you are a good fit we are ultimately looking for someone willing take on more responsibilities with a part-time or full-time position.
