Since the new buddy press update.. the “Eclipes Options” link in the top menu bar shows up all the time.. you do’nt even need to be signed in and it shows up. You can look at my site to see what I mean: http://www.portaltaxi.net/music/
Is there any way to fix this so it only shows up for people who have access to that area of the site?
Also does anyone know of a way to remove the new wordpress “W” logo in the top left corner of the site?
August 7, 2012 at 10:48 am #45461It also shows up on your cyberchimps.com support site here.. look up in your top menu right now. See where your site says “IFeature Pro Options”? That is what I am talking about. I like the link there but Since the buddypress update this is showing up to anyone who visits the site even if they are not signed in. If someone clicks on it who does not have access they will get a notice that do not have access to that area of the site.

August 7, 2012 at 5:37 pm #45597Thanks Bryan,
Your link:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/global-admin-bar-hide-or-remove/This removed the entire menu bar from the top of the site. That is not helpful because it also removed the buddypress links to the members pages. I am just trying to remove the “Eclipes Options” link in the top menu bar and leave everything else. This should only be showing up for Site Admins and not everyone. It even shows up for logged out users. Your support site here is the same way. I am seeing a link to your back panel to edit your support site but when I click on it I get an error message saying I do not have permission to that page.. I think this is a site wide issue for you since the buddyprss upgrade. If you sign out of your support site and look at the top of your site you will see “Ifeature Pro Options” Like I see “Eclipes Options” on my site. It’s not hurting anything being there but it makes the site look like it has broken links to the users. I will just deal with it until I see a fix.. it just look bad.
The 2nd link you gave me was perfect. It removed the wordpress logo. I mainly did not like the new drop down menu it had and that did remove it.
Thanks for your help.
Jeffrey

http://www.gaywebsource.com/gaypressAugust 8, 2012 at 11:29 am #45674Just to be sure, the toolbar is actually a WP feature and completely non-theme-related.
The surefire way to hide it on the front-end would be:
html{margin-top:0 !important}
#wpadminbar{display:none !important}http://cyberchimps.com/question/pro-custom-css/
