    In Responsive free version,
    1) How do I change the height of the “Hello world box”?
    2) How to remove the gap between “Hello world box” and main menu?
    3) How to remove the gap between “hello world box” and the 3 widget boxes?
    I am preparing my website it is not public yet

    Thanks

    1. This depends on the content within. If you have something specific in mind, link (once live) please and more details.

    2. Use:

    .front-page #wrapper {
    margin: 0 auto 20px;
    }

    3. Use:

    #featured {
    margin-bottom: 0;
    }

    Bryan,

    Thanks for the instructions. for the question 1) I like to keep the height of the Hello world box about 2 inches, with out loosing the Responsive feature. I can mange to put stuff in side accordingly.

    Thanks

    Are you referring to the Featured Area? because you could probably give it a fixed height, but that would depend on if you’re using the featured image and stuff inside it.

    @THomas, Yes that is the area i want to change.

    Could you also please let me know how to change the both side margins (The white space in both left and right)?

    Thank you very much

    Could you share a link to a screenshot so that I can be sure what area you are talking about.

    Please have a look at the image. The Green arrows are the areas that I need to change

    So you want the featured area to full width? What do you mean with the vertical arrow?

    @Ulrich For this case I want to featured area increase the width and reduce the height.

    When I increase the “featured area” will it automatically, increase the width of 3 widgets?

    Referring to my original response:

    “1. This depends on the content within. If you have something specific in mind, link (once live) please and more details.”

    It’ll be a bit difficult without seeing the live site, but let’s try:

    #container {
    margin: 0 auto;
    max-width: 100%;
    padding: 0;
    }
    #header, #widgets, #footer {
    margin: 0 auto;
    max-width: 960px;
    }

    @Bryan, I made few changes using your advice. On the face it is fine. Please let me know if there any hidden problem that I may see later,
    This is what I came upwith

    #featured {
    margin: 0 auto;
    max-height: 300px;
    }

    #container, #header, #widgets, #footer {
    margin: 0 auto;
    max-width: 960px;
    }

    Once the hello world and the cyberchimps logo has been remove, I would like to remove the white space left behind
