I have the full width slider on my home page only but would want to use the half width on all of my portfolio pages. Is there a way to just set the slider at half width for all the pages and then make that exclude the home page only?
May 16, 2012 at 3:29 pm #31801Yes, we can specify pages with .page
Try:
.page .orbit, .page .orbit-wrapper{width:470px !important}

May 17, 2012 at 6:17 am #32011I did that but it appears to only have changed the size of the pictures in the slider. The slider container still takes up the whole width of the page and my sidebar is still not showing on my Comfort Inn page.
May 17, 2012 at 3:22 pm #32133Try placing whatever else you wanted to place on that page for now. I know it might look ugly, but there’s no other way I can test this.

May 17, 2012 at 3:40 pm #32142I think I’ve already done that. I still have the full left sidebar selected for the Comfort Inn page which is the only other thing I want to show up besides the slider.
May 17, 2012 at 5:11 pm #32191Apologies for the continued frustration with this. At this point I’m thinking your original instinct for using an in-content slider was the best. If we go back to that idea I can help you customize where possible.

May 18, 2012 at 6:57 am #32275I’m not sure if customization will fix the problem with the sliders that I’ve been experiencing. I put the Meteor Slides slider back onto the Comfort Inn page and you can probably see the problem which you say is it conflicting with your slider.
May 18, 2012 at 12:03 pm #32337http://stewart-construction.com/portfolio/commercial/comfort-inn/ actually looks great to me. I think I lost sight of the original problem and I couldn’t locate it going back over our replies.
Was it that it didn’t look right in IE?

May 21, 2012 at 8:03 am #32583I have a problem where with some photos in the slideshow I get a gray box instead of the photo. I am using Firefox but checked it with Safari and had the same problem. Sometimes the whole show will run smoothly but if you watch more than one iteration than this problem pops up.
May 21, 2012 at 8:10 am #32585I’m actually considering giving up on the slider for now and using the Porfolio instead. It took me a long time to find a simple, free slider that would work and I’m not feeling like jumping back into that again.
Will the portfolio photos show up and still allow a full sidebar on one side? I looked through the documentation and just want to know whether this will work for me before I go through the work of uploading & arranging photos.
May 21, 2012 at 2:43 pm #32682I can’t say for sure what will work in what way with the possible variables. When testing something don’t do the whole thing. For example, just set one or two portfolio images and test it.

May 27, 2012 at 7:44 am #33833I am attempting to use the Portfolio to display my images. I cannot seem to figure out a way to not show the image title when you are hovering the mouse over it on the page. In the Business Pro Demo when you hover over the images no title appears so it seems this is possible. Do I need to customize something?
