Hello
After upgrading to version 4.5 I’ve found that YouTube settings that worked with the previous versions are now ignored and videos are resized to the full page width when Responsive Design is turned on.
I’ve done a couple of bare bones test sites without plugins to confirm the problem as best I can and try to narrow down its source.
With Responsive Design
Without Responsive DesignIt also stops videos embeded via Smart YouTube Pro from displaying at all but I thought that might just be a knock on effect from the original problem.

May 3, 2012 at 7:55 am #29595I’ve realised I should have tested on more browsers as my default is Chromium which is in constant development but have since found the same problem on the current stable releases of Firefox and Opera plus Rekonq for luck as I’m running Kubuntu Linux 11.10.
Firefox & IE8 on Windows XP are also in the same boat.

May 3, 2012 at 10:02 am #29676This was done to make videos automatically responsive with responsive design turned on. I will make this a theme option instead and turn it off by default.
May 4, 2012 at 7:04 am #29845Thank you, an option would be handy as single column pages can force my videos beyond a comfortable resolution.
May 4, 2012 at 4:02 pm #29960Is this a 24 hour or 48 hour fix?
May 4, 2012 at 8:09 pm #30029Already fixed in 4.5.1.

May 9, 2012 at 6:33 pm #30773I will take a look at this again, I thought the new option took care of it but perhaps I missed something.
May 9, 2012 at 6:38 pm #30777thanks :)
May 10, 2012 at 6:55 am #30843The upgrade worked for me but as people were still having problems I thought I’d check again and the videos seem to be staying the embedded size whether the responsive video option is on or off. Responsive design continues to work as expected. Smart Youtube Player also now displays again.
May 10, 2012 at 3:53 pm #30919Sending follow up notes.
